USP Solutions’ Acne Risk Technology appeals to your consumer’s senses within seconds – enabling them to touch and feel your brand, thus determining the acne risk level.
How does it work? The body produces sebum, which is an oily substance that lubricates skin and hair by traveling up hair follicles onto the skin surface. Acne occurs when the body produces an excess amount of sebum and dead skin cells, which build up in the hair follicle and plug the pore.
Acne Risk Technology detects the amount of sebum on the skin, which reacts to the test strips by displaying dark spots. By comparing their strips with the reference fields, consumers can determine their chance of developing acne.
Cleanse face; do not apply moisturizer or make-up after cleansing. Give skin enough time to regenerate, approximately 10 minutes.
Moderately press the test strips onto skin area that will be tested, e.g. forehead, nose, cheek and/ or chin. Press each test strip onto the skin for about 5 seconds. Make sure to press the whole tester surface onto the skin, but once only.
Compare the result to identify your personal chance of developing acne.
The test strips are a good tool to start a conversation with customers!
