Skin type can change over time due to environmental factors, age, hormones, and other health-related issues. Hence, they wanted to allow the consumer to evaluate their skin before they made a product purchase as well as take the consumer on a journey after the product purchase so that the consumer could map their skin’s progress.

USP developed branded Skin Type Test cards that react to sebum on the skin, allowing the consumer to determine whether she/he has the dry, normal, combination, or oily skin within seconds. The knowledge about his/her skin type, combined with product information, helped guide the consumers to purchase their appropriate skincare selections from Korendy’s online beauty portal.
The success of Korendy’s model of allowing the consumer to purchase the skin type tester online before the initial product purchase and then adding a tester with each purchase so the consumer can keep analyzing their skin has been extremely successful.
