About the project

For a campaign in 3200 pharmacies in France, Bioderma needed a tool that steered their consumers to a variety of their products. They wanted to use the tool to help the consumer learn about their skin type and recommend the products they would need based on this diagnosis.

Developing an easy to use 2 step tester, USP used their Skin Type Tester that visualizes the sebum on the skin’s surface. The amount of sebum detected determines the test person’s skin type (dry, normal, combination, oily skin).

About the project

The Bioderma team in Thailand was looking for an effective tool to identify the „Shine Level“ of the consumer’s skin (face) before and after product use. An engagement tool that showed the effectiveness and that Bioderma cared about the long-lasting health of their consumer’s skin. They required a tool to help show the proof of oil control efficacy of their SÈBIUM Range in less than a few minutes.

This is an easy-to-use tool – The Shine Level Test reacts to sebum on the skin, allowing the consumer to determine the shine level of his/her skin. The tool could be used by the consumer themselves or BA’s at POS or even at home to determine and prove the claim of the product. Making it not only a powerful tool but totally hygienic and safe as well. Perfect for the no-touch protocols now in place.

PH-Value Test: prove how your product assures a healthy PH level

Product claim tool for the promotions at Pharmacies

About the project

Sensibio Gel Moussant is a soothing mild cleansing gel with reinforced hydration and does not change the pH value on the skin. The marketing team needed a tool that would prove that due to its PH balance it was highly tolerant on all skin types and therefore, left the skin clean, soft, and comfortable. They wanted to prove the product efficacy of the product by showing that it maintains the skin’s physiological pH. This tool was to assist the BA to prove the product claim in instore 1:1 interaction. 

How did USP Solutions help?

USP created a testing solution that offered a fast and easy measurement of consumer’s skin pH Value. The pH-value Test, matched to the beauty industry’s needs allowed in a matter of seconds the consumers to understand their skin’s balance. This knowledge about his/her skin pH balance, combined with product information through the BA, guided consumers to purchase their appropriate Sensibio Gel Moussant. Thus building brand trust and awareness.

The demo helped to trigger consumer engagement, improve consumer impact, and involve emotions with its power. It increased sales by giving BA’s increased confidence, compensating for any lack of selling skills by providing a tool that changes selling into a consulting situation. It supported the product claim by turning insight into action, thus making the brand’s claim more believable.

Skin Type Test: Product Recommendation for Pharma Brands

About the project

Skin Type Test created to be run as brand activation in 3200 pharmacies in France. The marketing team from Bioderma wanted to activate and boost sales of several of its products while engaging consumers and helping them to find the right product for their needs. 

How did USP Solutions help?

Once USP received the brief, we developed an interactive skin type tester tool that was integrated into the product recommendation brochure: an engaging brochure of 3 pages with their product variant information. With a skin tester that the consumer would be able to find which product variant “Group” they belonged to. This fast and easy to use directing the consumer to exactly the right product choice. Enabling them to not only get the best recommendation for their skin but to also build a regime best for them. Here the increased basket size was the focus. This tool was designed so it could be used with as well without the need for a beauty advisor at POS.
